This is the beautiful young maiko Toshiyui, who I had the pleasure of being entertained by while on my honeymoon in Kyoto. Here she is performing a dance about love and the four seasons. My husband and I were both very enchanted by her, she was so cute and giggly!
I have been keeping a very close eye on her career. She has just started her second year as a maiko so she should be painting both lips soon. I'm very excited!!
